In 2021, we will celebrate the bicentenary of the passing away of Napoleon I. This year will therefore be truly "Napoleon Year" celebrated in France and internationally. We obviously couldn't miss this event and wanted to celebrate it not only from several angles of the heritage of this period of French history but also through our different types of products.
To celebrate the bicentenary of the first Emperor of the French, Monnaie de Paris decided to propose a work in volume like a bronze representing an imperial eagle.Initially recreated by the foundry workshop for the restoration of the medal cabinet of Emperor Napoleon I, the eagle is here enhanced by a rectangular base with a hand patina. An iconic imperial symbol, the eagle holds in its claws a delicate ribbon adorned with two pompoms.
The bronze is produced in an edition of 50 and numbered on the base.
