Commemorative 2 euros - Louvre museum

In 2025, Monnaie de Paris is celebrating the Louvre by minting a commemorative 2 euros coin to mark the 200th anniversary of the death of Dominique-Vivant Denon, the first director of the museum and the Monnaie des Médailles, one of Monnaie de Paris's historic entities.

For the commemorative 2 euros, I drew on my vision of the Louvre as an exceptional setting for equally exceptional works. So it's the place and its remarkable old and contemporary features that I wanted to highlight !
