Emblematic coins

The obverse of the coins reflects the importance of the Franco-German couple in the pursuit of European integration. There are the profiles of François Mitterrand and Helmut Kohl, as well as the stars of the European flag guided by those, larger and colorful, which symbolize France and Germany. The reverse side of the coin illustrates Germany reunified in 1990, with the former frontier separating the Federal Republic of Germany in the west and the German Democratic Republic in the east.
