    Description

As the TV anime One Piece is marking its status as an undisputed pop culture icon 25 years after the first episode of the series was broadcast, Monnaie de Paris pays a vibrant tribute to the work by minting the first Grand Line collector's coins.

This Mystery bag contains one random mini-medal from the 13 in the series.  The collection includes 10 common and 3 rare.

5 pure gold collector coins are to be won in a great treasure hunt. To win them, all you have to do is find one of the 5 Gol.D.Roger gold mini-medal hidden in the mystery bags !

    The Collection

For the 25th anniversary of the anime, Monnaie de Paris is paying tribute to One Piece, the phenomenon adapted from the 1st best-selling manga in the world! Collect coins and mini-medals featuring characters from the One Piece universe and Monkey.D.Luffy, the main character and the one who wants to become the King of the pirates.

After Naruto, we're embarking on another manga monument with the work of Eiichirō Oda. One Piece is a profound and inspiring universe, and we engravers are very lucky to be able to inscribe in metal the features of Luffy and his companions. The millennia-old know-how of Monnaie de Paris is now at the service of this unmissable work, and sublimates its contours.

    Our craftman

    • THE MEDAL MINTER

The medal minter transforms a blank into a medal, alternating between striking to bring out the relief and annealing to return the metal to a more malleable state. The blank is struck as many times as necessary, depending on the diameter, depth and detail of the engraving. Finally, surface treatments are applied to enhance the finished piece

    • THE ENGRAVER

Trained at the best schools, they have the years of experience behind them necessary to master all aspects of the craft. Using industrial oil-based modelling clay and working from a design executed freehand or with CAD software, they skilfully fashion a low relief model in order to enhance the engraving and the way it catches the light. They work alternately with concave and convex plaster moulds until satisfied they have achieved the best 3D rendering of the design.
