    Description

    • Paris city of lights
    • Tribute to the most beautiful buildings of the capital

In 2019, the Paris’ Treasures series highlights Paris, the City of lights, with the light beam of the Eiffel Tower.

The obverse shows an aerial view by night of the Eiffel Tower. This plunging view allows the light beam to spread out on Paris and keep an eye on its inhabitants. In 2019, it is the 130th anniversary of the Eiffel Tower. This date and the « RF » mention are highlighted in the Seine River.

The reverse is the common one of the Paris’ Treasures series. We see a contemporary view of the Paris map and also its districts represented by little pyramids.

The gold deposit and the rhodium on coins allow to beautify the details on parisian monuments. Here, it is the famous Eiffel Tower headlight which is highlighted thanks to its benevolence for the city of Paris. Through the woman iron, Paris city of lights is magnified.

    Our craftman

    • THE ENGRAVER

Trained at the best schools, they have the years of experience behind them necessary to master all aspects of the craft. Using industrial oil-based modelling clay and working from a design executed freehand or with CAD software, they skilfully fashion a low relief model in order to enhance the engraving and the way it catches the light. They work alternately with concave and convex plaster moulds until satisfied they have achieved the best 3D rendering of the design.

    • THE MINTER

The first minters began to ply their trade in France when striking with a hammer appeared in the 4th century BC. Nowdays, minsters use press instead of a hammer. Their knowledge of dies, engraving and metals, and their expertise - passed seamlessly down from one generation to the next for centuries - guarantees the excellence of their work.
