On the occasion of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Monnaie de Paris is launching a collection dedicated to the French Olympic and Paralympic Team. For the first time in history, French athletes are united behind a single coat of arms.

Emblematic coins

On the face of these coins we find the new cockerel of the French Olympic and Paralympic team: a cockerel seen from above, with a determined look, representing the French spirit, bold and breaking the codes. The rooster is ready for battle, his head recalls the flame, and he looks "victory in the eye". The reverse also features the rooster emblem on one half of the coin, while the other half illustrates the face value of the coin and the characteristic sparkles of the French Olympic and Paralympic Team.

The ceremony following the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games this summer officially marks the era of the Paris 2024 Games. On this occasion, Monnaie de Paris celebrates this handover between the two host nations of the Olympic and Paralympic Games with a series of gold and silver coins.

Medallions

These exclusive blisters contain a coloured medallion illustrating the emblem of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Limited to 50,000 copies for the Olympic version and 15,000 for the Paralympic version, these blisters are numbered on the reverse.
