This collection comprises two shaped coins: a coloured 10 euro silver coin and a 200 euro gold coin, both inspired by the skirts of French Cancan dancers. The obverse of these coins features two French Cancan dancers in the foreground. In the background is the legendary Moulin Rouge, recognisable by its iconic wings, accompanied by a design inspired by a French Cancan painting featuring a fragment of the Eiffel Tower. Each part of the coin references traditional crafts: costume design, featherwork, embroidery, boot-making and ballet. A commemorative 10 euro coin, as well as round 20 euro high-relief silver and 20-euro gold coins, complete the collection.

Whilst working on this collection, I realised that the Moulin Rouge is much more than just a venue for performances: it is a world shaped by the men and women working behind the scenes, who possess exceptional craftsmanship. Every costume, every feather, every piece of embroidery tells a story of precision, passion and high standards that echoes the craftsmanship of the Monnaie de Paris. It is this rich craftsmanship, born of masterful techniques and meticulous details, that inspired me to design the motifs for this collection, paying tribute to the creative and vibrant spirit of the Moulin Rouge.
