This series’ coins symbolize the age of Iron and Glass in France. 

The reverse of the 5 Oz 50€ silver coin celebrates on one hand an iconic building of the technical evolution of that era: the Eiffel Tower; on the other hand an artist representative of the international influence of French literature, Victor Hugo. The famous romantic painting “Liberty leading the People » crowns the design. The French flag is colorised on this 50€ silver coin.

The obverse, commun to the Europa Star series carries the name of the displayed age.
