And what could be more symbolic, more appealing, than a Monnaie de Paris tourist medal? Struck with an image of the site or attraction you represent, it is exactly what they are looking for. Our elegant medal is made in Monnaie de Paris's centuries-old workshops and upholds a tradition of artistic craftsmanship, but is still available at a reasonable price. It is the answer to your visitors' spur-of-the-moment desire to purchase a unique and affordable souvenir.
The importance of the engraver and promoting arts and crafts
Monnaie de Paris engravers are committed to ensuring a quality finish for each and every one of our medals and take particular care when making the tools used to prepare a medal for striking.
These high standards mean that each engraver has his or her own tools, such as burins and gravers, which they fashion from fine steel bars and use to depict the chosen motif by hand.
This superior craft expertise, maintained and perfected over time by generations of artisans at Monnaie de Paris, makes it possible not only to preserve an authentic arts and crafts tradition, but also to offer you tourist medals of flawless quality.
Producing a tourist medal
Working with the Monnaie de Paris sales team, you will choose an image for the medal's obverse that our engravers will then interpret three dimensionally. Our team will also be on hand to help you prepare the poster for your vending machine that will best promote the medal.
The sales team is available to advise you as your project develops, and will remain so after its completion. They can answer all your questions about new orders, creating a new medal, vending machines, etc.
