    Description

In 2022, Monnaie de Paris continues to cheer on Paris 2024. After a collection dedicated to the French Team, this time, the supporters are the one being honoured.

Allez les Bleus is the iconic brand of all the supporters on the road to the Olympic and Paralympic Games of Paris 2024. Whether it is for the one-day amateurs or the forever supporters, Allez les Bleus reflects this gently protesting French spirit.

In 2022, Monnaie de Paris continues to cheer on Paris 2024, this time, through the supporters of the French teams. Medallions with the spirit of Allez Les Bleus  and its graphic universe will be available to accompany the French towards victory.

The obverse of the medallion has the coloured emblem of Allez Les Bleus in the shape of a megaphone, in red and blue to represent the colours of the French teams.

The reverse is common to the two medallions has an open mouth opened at the centre of a round of screams Allez Les Bleus, which is inspired from the French cockade.

    • THE MEDAL MINTER

The medal minter transforms a blank into a medal, alternating between striking to bring out the relief and annealing to return the metal to a more malleable state. The blank is struck as many times as necessary, depending on the diameter, depth and detail of the engraving. Finally, surface treatments are applied to enhance the finished piece

    • THE ENGRAVER

Trained at the best schools, they have the years of experience behind them necessary to master all aspects of the craft. Using industrial oil-based modelling clay and working from a design executed freehand or with CAD software, they skilfully fashion a low relief model in order to enhance the engraving and the way it catches the light. They work alternately with concave and convex plaster moulds until satisfied they have achieved the best 3D rendering of the design.
