On its horse, the
Paris 2024 Olympic Mascot jumps over the fences and tries to knock down as few

Equestrian sports
became a permanent part of the Olympic programme at the Stockholm Games in
1912. In 1964, women took part in all equestrian events, making equestrian the
only fully mixed sport at the Olympic Games. Individual and team medals are
awarded.
There are three
disciplines in equestrian sports:
jumping, dressage and eventing.
Jumping is a timed
course where riders must knock down as few bars as possible, with penalties for
each knocked down bar.
