    On the occasion of the 3rd anniversary of Johnny Hallyday's passing away and the 60th anniversary of his first title, the Monnaie de Paris has decided to pay tribute to this major artist through a new range of monetary and non-monetary products. This collection highlights the showman, the outstanding guitarist and the great biker that Johnny was. The blister pack features a portrait of Johnny Hallyday, his eyes overflowing with determination and passion.

    This one side paperweight medal features a representation of Johnny Hallyday posing with his guitar. Wearing a stage costume, the artist is highlighted on a starry background representing his glory and all his talent.

    Paying homage to the 60th anniversary of his career, the engraving "60 ANS DE SOUVENIRS" is engraved on the obverse of the medal and echoes his famous song “Souvenirs, Souvenirs".

    This medal is limited to 999 ex and numbered. The edge is engraved with the text "Johnny Hallyday: 1943 - 2017".

    The medal is customizable on the reverse side.

    Our craftman

    • THE MEDAL MINTER

      The medal minter transforms a blank into a medal, alternating between striking to bring out the relief and annealing to return the metal to a more malleable state. The blank is struck as many times as necessary, depending on the diameter, depth and detail of the engraving. Finally, surface treatments are applied to enhance the finished piece

    • THE ENGRAVER

      Trained at the best schools, they have the years of experience behind them necessary to master all aspects of the craft. Using industrial oil-based modelling clay and working from a design executed freehand or with CAD software, they skilfully fashion a low relief model in order to enhance the engraving and the way it catches the light. They work alternately with concave and convex plaster moulds until satisfied they have achieved the best 3D rendering of the design.
