When visiting the temporary exhibitions, can I visit the whole Monnaie de Paris building?
Until 2017, only the Palace building along the Seine is open to the public. The East Wing is reserved for temporary exhibitions, the West Wing houses the Guy Savoy restaurant. The whole Monnaie de Paris and workshops will be open to the public from 2017 onwards.
When would it be possible to visit the permanent exhibition presenting the manufacturing secrets of Monnaie de Paris?
Monnaie de Paris' teams refine the exhibition program which will reveal our crafts through a multi sensory experience designed for all. The works are in progress and the reopening is planned for 2017. Meanwhile, please book tickets for our temporary exhibitions, workshops and tours to know more about our cultural program.
Is the Flammarion-Monnaie de Paris bookshop accessible without passing through the exhibitions?
No, the bookshop shares the same access as the temporary exhibitions. It is accessible only to exhibition visitors.
Can I access the Monnaie de Paris shop from the exhibitions?
The interior of Monnaie de Paris, the exhibition halls and the Monnaie de Paris shop are not yet connected. You must exit the Quai de Conti building to access the shop in rue Guénégaud. The shop is open Monday to Saturday from 11am to 19pm.
Is there a cloakroom at Monnaie de Paris?
Yes, a free cloakroom is available for visitors to temporary exhibitions.
Can I bring my child in a stroller?
Strollers are permitted in the exhibition space according to available places. In case of limited capacity, you will be asked to carry your child.
Can I bring my pet to the exhibitions?
No, pets are not allowed in the exhibition halls. Only guide dogs are allowed.
Can I take food into the exhibitions?
No, it is forbidden to eat and drink in exhibition rooms.
Are photographs are allowed?
Yes, photographs are allowed for strictly personal use.
Can I buy my tickets online?
Through our online ticket service you can buy individual full price tickets and some discount tickets. All other free and discount tickets are only available on site. E-tickets and m-tickets allow direct access to the exhibition halls.
Can I buy my tickets by phone?
It is not possible to purchase tickets by phone.
Can I book an individual visit?
Visits to Focus Monnaie, Exhibition and Archi Monnaie include access to the exhibition and are available at the online ticket service or without reservation by turning up at the ticket office at least 15 minutes before the start of the visit, subject to availability. They are not available for booking by phone.
Can I make reservations for workshops?
The Pile ou Face (Heads or Tails), Clan Monnaie and Mini Monnaie workshops are available at the online ticket service or without reservation by turning up at the ticket office at least 15 minutes before the start of the workshop, subject to availability. They are not available for booking by phone.
